Alfred Gach was a dedicated member of Temple Beth El for several decades. He was interested in interdenominational cooperation, and collected materials from other religious institutions. Gach was also interested in the intensification of the conservative Christian movement in 1950's America. Gach also collected materials on the establishment of Israel, as well as relief efforts to Jewish refugees coming into Israel. Alfred Gach was on several committees of the Temple throughout his life. Alfred Gach's aunt was Jennifer Lichtenstein who had a close relationship with Leo M. and Hattie O. Franklin. |
