Admin/Biog History Born in New York City on February 4, 1896, raised in Kokomo, Indiana, educated in Germany, Benard L. Maas was a manufacturer who ran a successful company that supplied the automobile industry. He was a member of Temple Beth El from 1916 to his death in 1984. Maas was invested in philanthropy on a local, national, and international level. Maas was also active in Temple Beth El's committees.
