Abstract The Franklin Exhibit Collection includes articles, correspondence, exhibit plans and schedules, notes, photographs, publicity, and video tapes relating to the 1998 exhibition of Rabbi Leo M. Franklin: "The Man and His Message" presented by the Rabbi Leo M. Franklin Archives.
Admin/Biog History In 1998, Heidi Christein was hired to be the first professional Archivist of the Rabbi Leo M. Franklin Archives. "The Man and His Message" was her first task as Archivist, which would celebrate the life of Rabbi Franklin. Rabbi Leo M. Franklin was Rabbi of Temple Beth El from 1899 to 1941. The exhibit ran from September 10 through October 30, 1998. On September 9, there was a preview celebration to mark the opening of the exhibit , including a presentation of a specially commissioned video, "Bringing Communities Together: the Legacy of Rabbi Leo M. Franklin."
