Abstract The Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah Collection contains, clippings, correspondence, flyers, publications, and photographs pertaining to the Zionist women's group's founding and growth in the Detroit area. It is particularly strong in items from the 1950s to the present.

Admin/Biog History Henrietta Szold founded the national Hadassah movement in 1912. In 1916, Szold visited Detroit and began a local chapter. The Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah raises monetary donations to assist in the health and security of the people of Israel, and to fund local, charitable projects . The collection contains administrative, insurance, and financial documents, and materials promotiong charitable events.
